Upcoming Virtual Learning Opportunities:
Acceleration Workshop – – NEW SUMMER SESSION AVAILABLE!
June 28, 29, 30 & July 1, 2021
10am – 12pm EST
Planning and enacting curriculum and instruction to advance the learning progress of all students. These virtual workshop sessions are intended for instructional leaders (superintendents, principals, assistant principals, instructional coaches, and department chairs) and teacher teams of all levels. They address planning and delivering curriculum and instruction by accelerating learning for every student, rather than focusing on remediation, review, or other deficit thinking.
The Coaching In-Depth is a blend of theory and skill-building in order to: support coaches in sharpening their practice; consolidate lessons from the unique year we are in; and connect coaching to other improvement efforts in their schools and districts.

3-Day Coaching Institute (In-Person)
September 23, 30, & Oct 7, 2021
Mercy by the Sea, 167 Neck Rd, Madison, CT 06443
The Coaching Institute is a three-day workshop (or the equivalent), in person or virtually, that aims to provide educators of all types (whether or not they have the word “coach” in their title) with the knowledge and skills to be able to support the thinking and planning of others. The workshop addresses these areas:
- Ensuring that coaching supports equity, instructional practice, and leadership;
- Listening brilliantly;
- Asking questions that shift thinking:
- Getting to grips with the nuances of feedback;
- Supporting problem-solving, decision-making, and self-regulation;
- Harnessing coaching to support strategy design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
The workshop promotes coaching as a practice, and there are ample opportunities to role play, give and receive feedback, and self-assess (by recording, listening to, and analyzing one’s own coaching).
Coaching for Equity
Coaching for Equity will: consider the impact on coaching of using an equity lens; what it means to coach towards equitable access, experiences and outcomes for students; and the challenges and opportunities of coaching outside of our identity group.
Two sessions available.
Easily, the most engaging and important PD I have ever attended!
The entire workshop was useful – start to finish. I had no prior experience with Instructional Rounds, and this workshop was super informative and very engaging. I really like how it was laid out – the first day of learning in the morning and practicing, and then going live the next day. I really enjoyed the discussions within our groups. I enjoyed it all.
